5 BEST NEW FEATURES
Timeline is the major change in this update. It
replaces the task view that shows the currently running apps. Timeline displays
the apps that you've used in the past 30 days. It also retains all the
functions of task view. It also displays different apps and activities that
you've used on another Windows 10 device linked with your Microsoft account and
activities from Microsoft edge and office on Android and iOS.
MICROSOFT EDGE IMPROVEMENTS
Now you can mute a website playing annoying audio on edge. Microsoft added this
feature to edge following Google's addition of mute tabs to chrome. Microsoft
edge now fully support Progressive Web Apps (PWAs). This might help Microsoft
in the app gap situation. There are also several UI and performance
improvements.
NEARBY SHARING
Nearby sharing allow you to share websites, documents
or photos to a nearby Windows 10 device. Nearby share works with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
It is similar Apple's AirDrop.
DICTATION
This feature will let you dictate into any app. That
means you can compose an email, create a word document, write an article online
using dictation. It can be launched with the keyboard shortcut windows key + H. It only seems to be working with English (US).
FOCUS ASSIST
Focus Assist is basically quiet hours from previous versions of
Windows 10. It is the do-not-disturb mode of windows 10. It will automatically
mute notifications when enabled. You can also let particular notifications to
be displayed by giving them priority.
